Who are you living for?

I am always thinking about the next place I have to be; the next practice, the next game, the next meeting.  I'm always thinking about MY life. But is it really MY life? I want to challenge you this week about thinking if you truly are living your life for God or if its just a one man show. We often think, I want to get out and do something for myself because I have been working hard lately. And we automatically feel sympathy towards ourselves...but what about God? Who feels sympathy for Him if He doesn't for Himself? The human race is wired to think and act in a certain way. We orient our time and life to do the things that we want to do, and we make plans for those things we look forward to. Most of the time we don't consult this guy called God, because we know He's there but why would we bother Him with our life? He's living a life of His own. The truth is... God's living His life and it just so happens to be ours. Yeah, God's not down here going to band camp or going to high school or working as a police officer or getting the grocery's. But He is living in and through us when we make those actions. When we go through the simple actions of our life, we often think that we are living for ourselves. Some people wake up and say okay lets make this a good day for yourself, don't really go outside of the box at work or in school to ask people about their faith over lunch because I just want it to be good between others and not awkward at work or in school. I get it... you don't want to pull the Jesus card. But if you really think of it. Why not? Why not ask if somebody is having a rough day and needs some prayer right then and their? Or why not ask a co-worker if they would like to check out your church this week? We are naturally wired, because of sin, to be hostile towards being out going in our faith. Our original design was wired with evangelism, but sin will constantly poke holes in that hope. We normally don't wake up to say, how can I live for God today? What can I do today to incorporated God more into my busy life? I challenge you this week to wake up and ask yourself how can I live for God and not myself. Because we are God's living dream, so therefore we are the body of Christ. And if we aren't acting in the name of the Lord, then nobody is. Which means that the life of God is not being lived! Don't hesitate to evangelize when you hear somebody ask about the bible or if they should go to church after not going for 2 years. Jump right in and help out! Don't worry if you sound dumb or if you have no clue what to say or how to say it because if you take that step outside of the box into Gods light, He will give you the words to speak when you need them. My biggest problem is that I have the biggest ideas in my mind but I never say them because I feel like it wont be good enough. And just by holding in the thoughts is holding back the life of God, because I know He forms those thoughts in my mind for me to share in order to inspire others. And I feel that I let the Lord down when I dont share His glory because its not about me, living this life on earth is all about bringing glory to the Lord. Are you holding back all of you thoughtful ideas of the Lord for the sake of yourself?
